Mary Clara Hutchison is a found object sculptor living in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated in 2012 from Loyola University New Orleans with a BFA in Visual Arts. During her time there, she received several awards, including Excellence in Studio Art and Excellence in Art History.
After graduating, she spent two years living and working in Colorado, drawing inspiration from both mountain and city life. A Kansas City native, she moved back to her hometown in 2014, where she currently lives and works. She has been contributed to community organizations such as Art for Arthritis, and taught at the Mattie Rhodes Center, facilitating after-school cultural art programs for elementary school students in Kansas City’s Northeast neighborhoods.
